Jacob T. Crisler
A Muncie man who goes by two different names allegedly admitted to sexually battering his cousin’s girlfriend.
The incident in question occurred Jan. 11 and was initially reported more than a month later as an attempted rape. According to Warsaw Police officers, the adult female victim reported the suspect, Jacob Thomas Crisler, 19, was staying overnight with the victim and her boyfriend. Crisler is a cousin to the victim’s boyfriend.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed with the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s office, the victim said she was sleeping when she awoke to Crisler fondling her. She said she did not report the incident immediately because “she had been attacked in the past,” according to the document.
Brad Keller of the Warsaw Police Department interviewed Cristler, who also goes by the name Corey Evan Mullins. Cristler admitted he got in bed with the victim, who was asleep, and began to caress her. He also said when the woman rolled over, he got up and nothing more happened.
Cristler is charged with a Class D felony charge of sexual battery. He was being held on a $10,000 surety bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
