Michigan Police are asking Indiana residents to be on the lookout for a missing 5-year-old Detroit girl.
According to authorities, Zoie Jackson was picked up from a Detroit-area school on Tuesday by her mother, Carmela Jackson. Carmela does not have custody of the girl and reportedly suffers from a mental illness.
Police believe the two may be heading to the Elkhart area. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the mother and the 5-year-old girl should call 911 immediately.
Zoie was last seen wearing a red shirt, black pants and black boots. Carmela may be driving a 2002 Lexus crossover truck.
