Indiana State Auditor Suzanne Crouch took her ceremonial oath of office today in Indianapolis, which was administered by Indiana Chief Justice Loretta Rush. She was joined by Secretary of State Connie Lawson and State Treasurer Kelly Mitchell, who also took their oaths of office.
“Being chosen by the people of Indiana to serve them as the State Auditor is a privilege and an honor,” Crouch said, “I firmly believe that the trust that a taxpayer grants an elected official is a sacred trust, and that each dollar must be spend with serious thought and consideration for the hardworking Hoosier who earned it. I will continue to uphold the high standards of our office to ensure that Indiana’s financial information is transparent and accurate and that taxpayers have access to information regarding their government’s spending.”
Auditor Crouch was appointed as the 56th Auditor of Indiana by Governor Mike Pence in January 2014 and was elected to the office in November.
