Warsaw Community Public Library recently held its sixth annual amateur photography contest. A total of 41 entries were submitted in the contest.
The grand prize and first place in the black and white category was “A Road to Nowhere” by Ansel Hygema. The second place winner was “The Contortionist” by Jim Davis. The third place winner was “Coming Home” by Steve Olsen.
In the color category, first place was awarded to “Horseshoe Bend, AZ” by Deepak Grover. Second place went to Scott Shipley for “The Great Blue”. Third place was “Sentinels of Light” by Phyllis Davis.
Judges were Nicole Vercauteren of Blosser’s Camera Portrait Studio, Gary Nieter of the Times-Union and Bob List of Bob List Photography, Inc.
The photographs will be on display downstairs on the hall of fame ramp and upstairs in the adult area at Warsaw Community Public Library through Jan. 31. The winners and their photographs can also be seen on the WCPL Facebook page.
