Not paying attention resulted in an accident in Milford this afternoon where a passenger car side-swiped a semi.
The male driver of a passenger car was southbound on SR 15 near Emeline Street when, according to officers on scene, he admitted to eating a candy bar and being distracted. The driver drifted toward the center of the highway and sideswiped the northbound semi tanker.
No injuries were reported.
While that accident was being investigated, a second collision occurred at Higbee and Emeline streets when the driver of a red passenger car failed to stop and rear-ended a blue car. Three people in the red car were taken to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Reporter Deb Patterson said the airbags in the red car did deploy and a small child was riding in a car seat in the back seat of the vehicle.
No additional information was yet available.
