One highlight of this week will be the Annual WLW Breakfast, held from 6:50 a.m. to 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, in the WCHS Black Box.
World Language students will be able to sample a variety of cultural cuisine including Chinese, Hispanic, French, Italian, Indian, Korean and American dishes. The WLW Breakfast will be served by WCS World Language teachers in partnership with members of community organizations including Peking Restaurant, Orthoworx, DePuy and Grace College.
Another highlight of this week is the First Annual WLW Fair also held in the WCHS Black Box on Friday, March 21, during periods 3, 4 and 6. Students will engage themselves in hands-on cultural activities led by WCHS world language teachers and community members. Activities will include: Japanese origami, French painting, Chinese games, Hispanic dancing and cultural garments from a vast array of cultures being modeled by WCHS language students.
The WCHS World Language Department is anticipating an enjoyable week, and hopes to equip its students with a greater understanding and appreciation of world languages and cultures.
