Warsaw Plan Commission will meet at a special time Monday, Feb. 10, to discuss a proposal to allow chickens inside the city limits.
The matter was first brought to the Warsaw Common Council this week by James Bausch, who is seeking to allow limited numbers of chickens to be raised by residents who want farm fresh eggs. (See related)
Bausch, who has been working with Warsaw Assistant City Planner Tim Dombrosky, is planning a presentation for the WPC in hopes the board will agree to move forward with drafting an ordinance to allow, with restrictions, hens to be raised by citizens living inside the city limits.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at Warsaw City Hall.
