Kosciusko County Treasurer Sue Ann Mitchell was re-elected District President of the Association of Indiana Counties Northeast District during the annual meeting in Allen County earlier this month.
As District President, Mitchell will represent the elected county officials in the Northeast District of the state, which includes the following counties: Adams, Allen, Blackford, DeKalb, Elkhart, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley.
There are six districts in the state. Mitchell will serve on the AIC’s Board of Directors, which determines policies and legislative goals for the association.
LaGrange County Auditor Kay Myers was elected District Vice President during the meeting. The district meeting also included a synopsis of the 2015 Indiana General Assembly by AIC staff.
