Sen. Dan Coats (R-Ind.) received the Medical Device Manufacturers Association Chairman’s Award last night for his longtime leadership on issues that directly impact medical technology innovation and patient care.
Coats was presented with the award by fellow Hoosier Steve Ferguson, the chairman of the board of Cook Group Inc. and a member of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association.
“The medical device manufacturing community is vital to Indiana, providing jobs and countless benefits to our state’s economy,” said Coats. “I am honored to receive this award and will continue to fight for policies that will grow, not hamper, the medical device manufacturing industry. This includes a full repeal of the medical device tax that has cost our state and nation thousands of jobs.”
