Warsaw Police officer, Justin, (Tug) Curtis drives his 1953 John Deere 40-S Farm Tractor, (a real classic and rare find) into Lucerne Park for this evenings Mommy Son Adventure hosted by the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department.
This evenings special program just for mommy’s and sons, hosted by the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department has a theme of “Farming.”
There are 74 registered who will be attending the special event in Pete Thorn’s gymnasium between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Attendance was through pre-registration only.
This morning Warsaw Police Officer Justin (Tug) Curtis, drove in his 1953 John Deer 40-S tracker for boys and their mom’s to explore. There will also be live farm animals from South’s Bend’s Potawatomi Zoo and live animals from Future Farmers of America students from Warsaw High School, a drawing for a John Deere Toy Tractor donated by Greenmark Equipment, farm animal related crafts, a Pig Pen game, healthy snacks, a flower planting station, and a soil and farm crop sensory station.
Boys and their moms will get to have their pictures taken, and each boy will receive a goody bag featuring a colorful bandanna, cowboy hat, cow tales treat, and a plastic piggy bank donated by Indiana Lakes Federal Credit Union.
