Emergency personnel have just been dispatched to CR 225S and Lake Sharon Road, near Winona Lake, for an automobile accident involving a school bus and another vehicle.
According to Sgt. Chad Hill of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle involved in the accident appears to have attempted to pass the school bus in a no-passing zone. Hill noted that a female passenger in the crash did sustain injuries and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital by ambulance.
According to Hill, though there were students onboard the bus at the time of the collision, no students reportedly suffered injuries. A separate bus arrived on the scene to transport students to their respective school, Eisenhower Elementary.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Multi-Township EMS and Warsaw Fire Department responded to the scene.
