Much important information on the upcoming spring and summer seasons was shared at the general membership meeting of the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce Monday at the North Webster American Legion Post 253. Secretary Jen Ducey, Tippecanoe Township, presided.
North Webster has a new Mexican cuisine restaurant opening Thursday. It is Patinos Mexican Food and it is located in Mid-Lakes Shopping Center on SR 13. A spokesman for the restaurant told the chamber the restaurant should be open Thursday and the signage is already in place. It is in the original location of the former Light House Cafe.
Dixie Day will be held Saturday, July 25, along SR 13 downtown, at the Mermaid Festival Grounds and in North Webster Town Park. Applications are online at www.northwebster.com for artisan booths. The car, truck and bike show planning is underway and the 5K fun run and walk plans are set. There will be extra cruises on the Dixie available that day as well. Ducey asked for volunteers to help with Dixie Day.
It was noted membership applications are still coming in. They are available online at www.northwebster.com. Matt Roberts of J & M Roberts Farms was introduced representing the April Business of the Month. The sign designating the honor has been delivered to the Roberts Farms headquarters by Paula Miller, Miller Farm.

A round of applause was given to board member Karilyn Metcalf, Dixie Sternwheeler. She was behind the drive to have banners along SR 13 downtown and also contributed substantially to the funding along with the chamber and the town of North Webster.
