Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts’ Symphony of the Lakes will end its 2014-2015 season on April 18 at Rodeheaver Auditorium with a concert entitled “The Master and His Pupil” sponsored by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. This concert will feature the winner of this year’s Young Artist’s Competition and will include performance pieces from Beethoven, Haydn, and Creston.

Warsaw Community High School Senior Ben Meulink will be the concert’s featured performer. Ben is an active musician at Warsaw Community High School and his church, Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian. He regularly performs with the Grace College Wind Ensemble and has won first place in many other musical competitions, including the Grace Academy of Fine Arts percussion contest and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Young Artist Competition. After graduation, Ben plans on attending Calvin College to study physics.

Make sure you pick up your tickets early, too! Cerulean and Bennigan’s are both offering 20 percent off lunch or dinner on April 18 (to parties no bigger than 4) with the presence of a symphony concert ticket stub. Dine out and support local Warsaw businesses as well as the Symphony of the Lakes.

The Master and His Pupil will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and $1 for children 12 and under, and can be purchased by calling the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts’ box office at (574) 267-8041 or by visiting wagonwheelcenter.org.
