Do you have the best chili recipe around? If you do, then you need to enter it in the third annual chili cook-off contest.
The cook-off is a part of the “A Taste of Agriculture in Kosciusko County: A Family Affair,” being held from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the Kosciusko County Community Fairgrounds.
So, gather up your favorite recipe and a few of your friends, family or business associates and showcase your chili. A chili team may consist of at least one person or as many people as you need to prepare and serve the chili. A team may enter up to three different chili recipes.
Attendees at the show will choose the overall winner. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded plus the first place winner will receive a trophy and bragging rights for year. A special traveling trophy is being created for the event. New this year: if your group is a not-for-profit and places in the top three, your prize money will be doubled!
For complete rules and an entry form visit the Purdue Extension- Kosciusko county website www.ag.purdue.edu/counties/kosciusko or call the office at (574) 372-2340. Entries are due Friday, April 10.
The Chili Cook-off is sponsored by Crestview Farms, Syracuse. Ag Day is sponsored by the Kosciusko County: Agriculture Awareness Committee, Extension Office, Farm Bureau, Kosciusko County Community Foundation and Farm Credit Mid America and supported by the Kosciusko County Community Fair.
