Syracuse Police made two arrests early this afternoon following a routine traffic stop.

Officer Joe Keene stopped a black Buick passenger car around 12:24 p.m. at Wilby’s gas station, located at the intersection of Bowser Road and South Huntington Street.

Driver Tania L. Semons, 25, South Syracuse Webster Road, Syracuse, was driving a car with expired plates. Keene asked for permission to search the car, to which Semons consented. She advised Keene would find items in the trunk said they belonged to her boyfriend. Keene found numerous items associated with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Semons’ boyfriend pulled up in his own vehicle after witnessing the traffic stop. The boyfriend, identified as Curtis J. Michael, 38, South Keck Drive, Kimmel, admitted to officers that the items belonged to him.

Both parties were arrested and booked into Kosciusko County Jail. They were charged with possession of a precursor and possession of paraphernalia. Bond was set at $2,000 surety bond.
