UPDATE (2:18 p.m.): According to the “Pharos Tribune” in Logansport, the lockdown is a result of a tweet posted earlier this morning.
Fulton County Sheriff Chris Sailors told “Pharos Tribune” that at approximately 10 a.m. this morning he was contacted by a private security firm regarding a tweet stating, “Boutta shoot up the school Boys wish me luck,” which came from a Kewanna location tag.
As a result Caston School Corporation, Eastern Pulaski School Corpation, Rochester School Corpation and Culver Community Schools were put on lockdown. The schools will be closely monitoring school facilities and keeping students inside. Law enforcement are trying to identify the tweeter with a a selfie left on the Twitter account.
Rochester Schools are still under lockdown at the time this update was posted.
ORIGINAL REPORT (12:06 p.m.): We have received reports that Rochester and Caston Schools are currently on lockdown. Reports indicate that an “unspecified threat” is being investigated.
Fulton County Sheriff’s Department had no comment at time of posting. The Rochester School Corporation could not be reached for comment.
