The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a freezing rain advisory in effect from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday.
According to the NWS, freezing rain is expected to develop later tonight into early Thursday morning before temperatures warm above freezing. Some snow and sleet may mix in at times. Light icing is expected to measure less than a tenth of an inch.
The NWS notes that dangerous travel conditions are expected due to icy roads Thursday morning. Be prepared for slippery roads and plan to slow down and use caution while driving.
