Whether you believe in ghosts or not, there have been plenty of spooky reports from the Barbee Hotel in Warsaw.
“We have paranormal groups that come here regularly,” says Dan Signore of the Barbee Hotel. “They always find something.”
These freaky findings caught the attention the Travel Channel’s The Dead Files. Crews from the popular cable show were in Kosciusko County this summer researching the ghoulish claims, and the episode about the hotel finally airs this Saturday.
“Some things happened here before the hotel was built,” Signore says. For example, a young boy died on the property, and his ghost reportedly still haunts the halls of the hotel.
This is just one of the many paranormal reports the The Dead Files investigated at the Barbee Hotel. Additionally, The Dead Files crew interviewed the local fire department, Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer, local businesses and local media regarding the haunted hotel.
The Dead Files features the paranormal investigation team of Steve DiSchiavi, a homicide detective, and Amy Allan, a physical medium. According to the show’s website: “They are a paranormal team like no other, combining their unique, eclectic and often-conflicting skills to solve unexplained paranormal phenomena in haunted locations across America.”
The Barbee Hotel episode of The Dead Files airs at 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, on the Travel Channel. The Barbee Hotel and Danny’s Sports Bar are hosting viewing parties.
