Treasures for Troops (a soldier support ministry thru The First Freewill Baptist Church Of Kosciusko County) is conducting the fourth annual “Operation Treat a Soldier”. Once again, the opportunity is being given to the people of our community to fill a treat bag for a deployed soldier and personally thank a service member currently serving overseas by including a card, letter or note of thanks along with the treat bag.
Last year 500 bags were donated and sent to our troops. Anyone wishing to participate can pick up a treat bag with the instructions inside at the following area businesses: Warsaw Community Public Library, The Outdoor Living Center, The Vein Institute and Medical Spa, Eagle Creek Firearms or the Lake City Bank in Silver Lake. Bags will be available for pick up beginning Sept. 19 and must be filled (per the instructions inside the bag) and returned by Friday, Oct. 3.
For complete details you can check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/treasuresfortroops or for questions call 260-352-2678. Any church group or club needing multiple bags to fill can also contact this number.
Don’t miss your chance to let our troops know they are being remembered during this autumn season.
