
Dark, stormy skies hovered over Warrior Field all evening, forcing a postponement of the much anticipated game against Northridge.
SYRACUSE – The much anticipated gridiron showdown between Northidge and Wawasee has been postponed until Saturday. The two Northern Lakes Conference foes will kickoff at 4:30 p.m. at Wawasee High School.
Friday night’s start was delayed early after lightning being seen in the area. After a long wait fans, administrators and players were finally informed of the postponement shortly after 8:45 p.m.
Wawasee athletic director Steve Wiktorowski announced that the gates for Saturday’s game will open promptly at 3:30 p.m. and any tickets that may have been purchased on Friday night will be honored at the gate tomorrow. Students and fans are still encouraged to participate in the “blackout” theme on Saturday.
The junior varsity game originally scheduled for Saturday morning has been postponed until Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. at Northridge High School.
