Savannah M. Baermann
A criminal investigation conducted today by Indiana State Police Detective Tony Frawley has resulted in the arrest of a North Manchester woman for an alleged battery.
According to Frawley, an investigation began after the Wabash County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services notified him that a 4-year-old child had been battered by his mother, 25-year-old Savannah M. Baermann.
A video was provided to Detective Frawley that allegedly showed Baermann striking her son, repeatedly, with the back side and open side of her hand. The reported incident occurred late in July 2014 at Baermann’s North Manchester residence.
The boy was placed into the care of his father, who does not reside with Baermann. Police note the investigation is ongoing.
Baermann is incarcerated in the Wabash County Jail to face a felony charge of battery.
