The Kenneth & Lela Harkless Foundation has awarded $79,500 in grants to organizations in the Syracuse community, according to James E. Caskey, president of the foundation. The grants were awarded to the following organizations:
Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum, $12,500; Syracuse Cemetery Association, $10,000; Teen Parents Succeeding, $10,000; Rose Home, $9,000; Lakeland Learning Center, $7,000; Syracuse Parks Department, $5,000; Syracuse-Wawasee Park Foundation, $5,000; Syracuse-Wawasee Trail Committee, $5,000; Tour Des Lakes Bike Ride, $5,000; Town of Syracuse, $4,500; Syracuse-Wawasee Rotary Club, $3,500; Otis R. Bowen Center (Sea Scouts), $1,000; Fort Wayne Philharmonic, $1,000 and Syracuse-Wawasee Garden Club, $1,000.
