Syracuse Redevelopment Commission met Tuesday afternoon to continue its discussion on marketing the industrial/technology park located at SR 13 and U.S. 6. The commission decided a plat map showcasing the available plots will be the brand for the industrial park and used on all marketing literature.
Syracuse Town Manager Henry DeJulia is searching for the best price for signs to be placed on SR 13 and US 6 near the park site. These signs will feature the park’s brand as well as contact information regarding purchasing a plot in the park. DeJulia said the signs will be about the same size as the very first signs put up declaring the site of the industrial park.
The redevelopment commission also discussed using tax increment finance funds for work in Oakwood Park. The funds will be used to augment funds already approved by the Syracuse Town Council for 20 point repairs in the sewer line, installing lighting and paving. The use of TIF funds for the project still needs to be approved by the town council.
The redevelopment commission also reviewed and approved TIF reports that need to be sent the state. The reports will also be presented to the town council.
