Yesterday at 1:54 p.m. Warsaw Police Department responded to reports of a car crashing into the residence of 321 South Union Street, near the Winona Avenue and South Union Street intersection.
According to police, a red ford, driven by Thelma L. Walton, 73, 48 N. 650 E., Pierceton, crashed into the side of the residence after Walton pulled out onto Winona Avenue from Union Street and struck into Harold R. Smith, 69, South SR 5-57, Pierceton, who was driving a dump truck. Walton reportedly “bounced” off the fuel tank of Smith’s vehicle causing her to spin around and crash into the house.
Damages were minimal to both the house and vehicle with police estimating the cost of repairs being up to $5,000. Walton reportedly complained of neck pains but no other injuries were sustained in the crash.
