60 Arrested At Large Underage Party

ELKHART, Ind. -  Early this morning, officers of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department’s S.T.A.R. (Sheriff’s Teenage Alcohol Reduction) team, responded to an underage drinking party at arrested 60 individuals for illegal consumption.

It happened at 12:45 a.m. at the old Farmer’s Market, located at 27919 CR 26, in Elkhart.

Police say of the 60 subjects arrested, 24 were between the ages of 18 and 20 and were cited and released. An additional 36 juveniles, who were between the ages of 16 and 17, were released to their parents.

Those who were cited and released were:

Joseph Datena, 18, Elkhart
Aaron Fillio, 19, Elkhart
Abbigail Franco, 19, Elkhart
Cody Holyfield, 19, Middlebury
Jacob Kelly, 20, Middlebury
Nathen Kelly, 20, Middebury
Taylor Kendall, 18, Elkhart
Carly Lochmandy, 18, Elkhart
Kennadie Lopez, 19, Elkhart
Michael McMann, 20, Elkhart
Alexander Martinez, 19, Middlebury
Pamela Murillo, 19, Elkhart
Kaley Owens, 19, Goshen
Tyler Pires, 20, Goshen
Layla Raven, 18, Elkhart
Joshua Reed, 20, Elkhart
Samuel Sheets, 18, Bristol
Katherine Smith, 19, Goshen
Noah Snyder, 19, Elkhart
Bryce Wills, 18, Elkhart
Dora Wisolek, 19, Elkhart

Three adults were arrested for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and one of them was arrested for Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Charles Himes, 50, of Elkhart, was arrested and incarcerated at the Elkhart County Correctional facility for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and for Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

LouAnn Reynolds, 49, also of Elkhart, was arrested and incarcerated at the Elkhart County Correctional facility for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

John Dixon, 45, Elkhart, was cited and released for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s S.T.A.R. team members assisting with the investigation included: Detective Brandon Denesuk, Cpl. Adam Leeper, Ptl. Rich Matteson, Ptl. Scott Frey, Ptl. Chad Hoien, Ptl. Kyle Perry, Ptl. Ryan Huff, Ptl. Shannon Stanfill, and Ptl. Eric Schuman.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s S.T.A.R. team is comprised of officers from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. Their main focus is to target and reduce underage drinking and smoking. S.T.A.R. members continue to deter, intervene and detect underage alcohol violations by educating the community and taking a proactive approach to deterrence and intervention prior to parties occurring.
