The four finalist were narrowed down from 23 competitors. Though the burgers were voted on by community leaders, the official decision on which burger is best is made up entirely by public votes.
According to the Visitors Center, the winner of the Kosciusko County Burger Wars will compete against the best burger from Porter, LaPorte, St. Joseph, Marshall, Elkhart and LaGrange counties for the ultimate title of Best Burger in Northern Indiana. Burger Wars contests are currently underway in those counties.
